As we continue to grow, we are seeking experienced leaders who can take ownership of crews and deliver high-quality results on every job.

Position Overview:

The Paving Crew Foreman is a hands‑on field leader responsible for managing a crew focused on asphalt paving operations. This role ensures that asphalt is properly placed, spread, and compacted to meet specified thickness, grade, and finish requirements.

The Foreman leads daily paving operations, maintains production efficiency, and ensures work is completed safely and to ADCCO quality standards. This position works closely with the Superintendent and Base Foreman to coordinate schedules, ensure job readiness, communicate site conditions, and deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in daily field operations for asphalt paving crews
  • Oversee placement, spreading, shaping, and finishing of asphalt material
  • Ensure paving meets specified thickness, grade, slope, and finish requirements
  • Monitor screed operation, mat consistency, and joint quality
  • Coordinate crew activities, equipment, and trucking to maintain production flow
  • Execute work in alignment with project plans, specifications, and Superintendent direction
  • Enforce safety policies and conduct daily pre‑task meetings
  • Monitor and ensure quality workmanship and adherence to ADCCO standards and paving tolerances
  • Manage crew attendance, timekeeping, and daily productivity expectations
  • Communicate material needs, equipment issues, and job site concerns to the Superintendent
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Train and mentor crew members to improve skill level, safety awareness, and efficiency
  • Document daily activities, production, and job progress
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving operations
  • 3-5 years of experience in prior crew leadership or foreman role
  • Strong understanding of asphalt placement, screed control, compaction, and paving sequencing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, grades, and paving specifications
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in outdoor construction environments and maintain productivity in a fast‑paced setting
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and comply with company drug and alcohol policies
What We’re Looking For:
  • A strong field leader who leads by example and holds the crew accountable
  • Someone who takes ownership of safety, quality, and production
  • A problem‑solver who can make decisions and adjust quickly in the field
  • A communicator who can clearly direct crews and coordinate with leadership
  • A team builder who creates a positive, productive job site culture
  • A professional who represents ADCCO with integrity and consistency
  • A leader who understands that quality paving depends on proper placement, compaction, and finish
Benefits:

  • Consistent, year‑round work
  • Opportunities for advancement and leadership
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Company‑paid life and critical illness insurance
