Senior Project Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with expertise in Heat Pump technology to join our dynamic team. Based at our Heat Pump Engineering Center of Excellence in Lebanon, Tennessee, this role offers a unique opportunity to work on the latest technologies and contribute to the development of heat pump water heaters.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will:
- Manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
- Apply engineering standards and procedures, providing expertise on challenges within the field
- Balance and prioritize multiple projects while being an effective team player
- Communicate technical material to internal business units and cross-functional teams
- Provide detailed test programs/plans and guidance to Lab and CAD personnel
- Conduct, document, and evaluate product-specific tests
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer needs
- Coordinate activities to resolve technical developments, rescheduling issues, and design and test problems
- Request/evaluate and approve product design changes through the Product Changes Processes in the SAP system
- Interact with other Engineering Staff, providing input in your area of expertise
- Prepare project expense estimates and control expenditures within the project budget
- Support field service engineering, respond to field questions, and incorporate improvements in future products
- Maintain professionalism in accordance with company values
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience (OR) Master’s Degree plus 3 years of experience (OR) Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of Refrigerant Cycle experience dealing with HVAC air conditioning systems and/or heat pumps
- Detailed understanding of HVAC system functions, including refrigeration, heat transfer, airflow, and ventilation
- Experience with components used within HVAC systems such as evaporator coils, compressors, condensers, and fans
- Air conditioning and/or Heat Pump design and hands-on testing experience
- Proficiency in design/simulation/analysis tools such as Solidworks, LabVIEW, EES, CFD, FEA, and ERP software (SAP or similar)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel 10 - 15% for product testing, field installations review, and meetings with internal Engineering teams
