Role Overview
Marie Webb will officially succeed Roy Vaughn as senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee (Blue Cross), following Vaughn’s planned retirement at the end of the year.
Responsibilities- Drive strategic direction and performance of all human resources functions.
- Implement initiatives supporting employee career development and engagement across the organization, especially as Blue Cross has shifted to a remote‑first work model.
- Collaborate closely with Roy Vaughn during the transition period to ensure a seamless handover.
Webb previously served as chief people and talent officer at EPB, where she led the company’s evolution into a technology‑focused organization. She played a pivotal role in implementing new HR technology platforms, strengthening data governance, and championing a culture of engagement and innovation.
