HCA Healthcare is seeking a Consultant Clinical Interoperability to advance secure, standards-based clinical data exchange across our enterprise. In this role, you will partner with clinicians, IT, and vendors to design and optimize interoperability workflows, leveraging standards such as HL7, FHIR, CDA, and CCD. You will translate clinical needs into technical specifications, support implementation, testing, and validation of interfaces, and troubleshoot data mapping issues.
Drawing on your clinical and health IT expertise, you'll champion best practices, enhance data quality, and help shape interoperability strategy that supports patient-centered care and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical interoperability initiatives across HCA Healthcare facilities to support seamless data exchange and patient care
- Collaborate with clinicians, IT teams, and vendors to design and optimize interoperability workflows and interfaces
- Analyze clinical data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD, CDA) and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
- Translate clinical requirements into technical specifications for integration and interface development
- Support implementation, testing, and validation of interoperability solutions, resolving data mapping and interface issues
- Provide subject-matter expertise and training to stakeholders on interoperability capabilities and best practices
- Monitor interoperability performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to interoperability strategy, governance, and documentation across the enterprise
