Mechanical Maintenance Job Grade: 19 Position Purpose
The Pipefitter-Welder-Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, installation, disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of piping systems as well as any welding repairs or fabrication of plant mechanical components.
Quantitative Dimensions(Profit & Loss accountability, numbers of employees supervised, etc.)
Essential Responsibilities / Duties- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level
- Performs work orders that comply with the maintenance schedule and addresses the plant needs
- Support internal projects
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce quality materials output that meet product specifications and quality system requirement
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows the Safety Cardinal Rules
- Performs any other assignments as directed
Manager Supervisor Employee
- Highly proficient at welding carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe, welding other corrosion resistant alloys is a plus
- Highly proficient at threading pipe assemblies
- Ability to read blueprints and follow design dimensions
- Experience with CPVC Assembly, FRP Pipe Assembly, and Teflon Lined Pipe assembly
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
4 Years of Industrial Welding and Pipe fitting Experience OR Completion of Apprenticeship Program Plus 2 Years of Industrial Welding and Pipe fitting Experience OR Completion of Vocational School Industrial Maintenance/Welding Program Plus 2 Years of Industrial Welding and Pipe fitting Experience.

- Standing – Inside - Warehouse
- Inside - Machining
- Pushing
- Pulling – Outside - Outdoors
- Lifting – up to pounds, 50 times per as needed
- Climbing stairs, ladders using a lift
Must be able to work overtime before or after normal starting times and on weekends.
Must be able to work primarily an 8 hour day shift.
Must demonstrate satisfactory performance including good attendance, adherence to company policies and procedures, and each responsibility consistently to retain position or employment.
