Candidate will be responsible for completing training and performing the following job functions:
Responsibilities- Work with operators to troubleshoot machinery (tool offsets, parts gauging, machine recovery, etc.)
- Makes adjustment and small changes to existing machine programs
- Troubleshoot and make improvements to fixtures and/or tooling
- Responsible for general safe practices and cleanliness of work area and machinery.
- Assist with various ME projects
- Responsible for quality and quantity of work performed.
- Support ME department
- Work with ME to maintain tooling inventory
- Assist in performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and maintains proper documentation.
- Responsible for other duties as needed and as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Assist Sheet metal ME with machine troubleshooting and equipment support
- Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances, using measuring instruments, such as dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and micrometers
- May connect wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components.
General knowledge of CNC machining processes, Familiar with G‑code, proficient troubleshooting skills
- Ability to set up and operate machine tools, such as milling machines, shapers, and grinders, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
- Ability to prepare and operate machine tools
- Apply knowledge of tool and die design and construction
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualize products to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts
High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
