Material Handler; 2nd Shift

Job Description

Compensation: $14.36 to $21.54 an hour

Shift Available:
Nights 5:50pm-6:00am 2-2-3 Schedule

This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining the smooth operation of the department by gathering, distributing, and monitoring supplies to support the production schedule. Through communication with the Supervisor and Operators, the individual must perform quality audits, relieve packers for breaks, and maintain the work area clean to company SOP. This position is also responsible for assisting in the daily work assignments and paperwork.

Abide by all safety and housekeeping guidelines.

• Work with a safety-first no compromise attitude.
• Maintain a safe and clean production area.
• Relieve packers for breaks and lunches, ensuring adherence to allowed 10/20-minute times.
• Finish paperwork neatly and within the allotted time.
• Gather and distribute materials in assigned work cells.
• Process finished goods to the warehouse utilizing a motorized vehicle when necessary.
• Assist and train shift personnel on lines when necessary.
• Follow all company policy and procedures.
• Lead by example and help maintain pride of ownership and harmony among all employees.
• Perform any duty as deemed necessary by the supervisor/manager.
• Work weekends when required.
• Cover for vacation for other employees.

• High School diploma or job-related experience.
• Warehouse or production manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and write for documentation purposes.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
