Forklift Operator, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Overview
Georgia‑Pacific is looking for Forklift Operators for our Lebanon, TN corrugated sheet feeder plant.
Salary- $21.00 per hour + $1.00 after 90‑day probationary period
- 3rd shift differential is $2.25 per hour
- Compensation increase based on skills and performance
- Must be flexible to work any shift and available for overtime, holidays, and weekends
- Currently hiring for 3rd shift
- Orientation on 1st shift (8:00 am‑4:00 pm); permanent 2nd shift after orientation
- Lebanon operates on a point‑based attendance program
- 1st shift:
Mon‑Fri 6:00 am‑2:00 pm; weekends and overtime as needed - 2nd shift:
Mon‑Fri 2:00 pm‑10:00 pm; weekends and overtime as needed - 3rd shift:
Mon‑Fri 10:00 pm‑6:00 am; weekends and overtime as needed
Our forklift operators work any shift, including weekends and overtime, in an unairconditioned, noisy, and fast‑paced environment. Tasks include loading, unloading, or moving raw materials throughout a warehouse and manufacturing process using a forklift, tracking inventory with electronic scan guns. Work up to 12 hours per day, at least 8 hours. A strong commitment to safety standards and knowledge of mobile equipment operations in manufacturing or industrial settings is critical for success.
Responsibilities- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Unload incoming paper roll stock from trucks or railcars using a clamp truck
- Transport large/heavy paper rolls to and from manufacturing process staging areas
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized raw material storage area
- Maintain accurate paper inventory records in computer systems using scan guns
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on and fueling of clamp trucks
- Previous experience safely operating clamp trucks, forklifts, tow motors, or other mobile equipment in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or warehouse environments
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Georgia‑Pacific mobile equipment license and other permits for operating mobile equipment
- Experience driving a forklift in a paper or packaging manufacturing facility
- Experience driving a propane or gas‑powered lift truck
- Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation functions
