Job Description
About the RoleJoin a dynamic manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II, where your technical expertise will keep automated production equipment running at peak efficiency. As a key contributor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring workplace safety, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This position offers significant hands‑on experience, ongoing learning, and opportunities to advance within the organization.
Responsibilities- Ensure all production equipment meets safety regulations and industry standards
- Identify and resolve unsafe conditions related to electrical safety, guarding, interlocks, and emergency stops
- Complete safety review checklists for new or modified equipment
- Strictly follow site safety procedures, including lock-out-tag-out and confined space protocols
- Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment to reduce downtime
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and adapt schedules as needed
- Maintain spare parts inventory for all production equipment
- Provide training and mentoring to production associates on equipment operation and maintenance
- Update and maintain accurate equipment-related SOPs
- Identify and implement process improvements to lower costs and boost quality
- Actively participate in site-wide Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- High School Diploma required (advanced scientific education preferred)
- 3-5 years of technical mechanical or electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot automated equipment, electronics, sensors, motors, servos, and pneumatics
- Strong mechanical aptitude: skilled in disassembly, repairs, and reassembly of complex equipment
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical systems, and industrial automation
- Experience using factory applications such as CMMS and inventory software
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in diverse environments, including clean rooms, hazardous areas, rooftops, and mechanical spaces
- Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Technical certification
- Advanced education in a scientific or technical field
- Experience in continuous improvement activities (Lean, PPI)
- Familiarity with SOP updates and process documentation
- Exposure to leading-edge automation and manufacturing technology
