Job Description:

Are you a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Fort Campbell, KY area? We are searching for a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal to support needs at the Fort Campbell located in Fort Campbell, KY. APPLY NOW!

Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF, including supervision, general screening, medical care and examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions; immunizations; diagnosis, treatment, and counseling as indicated.
  • Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidence-based educational lectures, and participate in in-service training for staff.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols and in consultation with a physician.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance through annual physicals and education aimed at positive health behaviors and self-care.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to inform plans/actions and educate patients and families.
  • Recognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Degree:
    Master’s degree in nursing.
  • Education:

    Graduate from an academic program in nursing, accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by ACEN or CCNE.
  • Certification:
    Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC, AANP, or another recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty; BLS is required;
    Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required at credentialing time.
  • Experience:

    Sufficient clinical experience to meet credentialing requirements and demonstrate competency within the past two years in the required clinical discipline.
  • Licensure:
    Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
Start Date
  • As soon as possible pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically 4-6 weeks after initiation).
Schedule

NNPs will work 24-hour shifts or 12-hour shifts as needed. Example shifts: 07:00-07:00, 07:00-19:00, 19:00-07:00.

Ability To Commute
  • Reliable transportation is required and expected for commuting to and from the work site.
