As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department requirements and state specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team using nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, and embody the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure outstanding patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s), ensuring thorough and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action if an unintended reaction occurs.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring clear understanding by translating complex terminology.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse credential with Associate, Bachelor’s, or RN Diploma.
Tri Star Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensive facility offering medical and surgical programs, including behavioral health, 24‑hour emergency, heart and vascular, imaging, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics, rehabilitation, sleep disorder, and women’s services. The 43‑acre campus houses Tri Star Centennial Heart & Vascular Center, Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, Advanced Joint Replacement Institute, and Parthenon Pavilion.
