Job SummaryApplies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of complex patients in a comprehensive manner. Recognizes complex learning needs and prepares individual teaching plans for patients/families and demonstrates effective patient education to peers. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive care plan. Demonstrates effective communication and conflict resolution. Ensures evidence-based care and continuously monitors patient outcomes. Engages in professional growth and learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards.

- 13-week temporary assignment, full-time hours covering shifts most needed by the unit.
- Works 36–40 hours per week, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts, may include late stays and weekend call.
- Premium pay – $71 per hour
- Medical insurance benefits available through Temp Force
- Same hospital assignment with possibility to float between units
- Regular RNs work 36‑40 hours per week based on unit needs
Unit: OR – all specialties. Strong orthopedics experience preferred.
Shifts:
- 2 openings: 10-hour shifts, 0630‑1700
- 1 opening: 12-hour shifts, 0630‑1900
- Late stay may be required – 3 shifts per month
- 24-hour weekend call – 1 shift every 4 weeks
13 weeks.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse (R.N.) with Tennessee licensure
- Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- ACLS and PALS certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Collaborate in establishing the plan of care and coordinate care delivery while anticipating patient needs across the continuum.
- Analyze comprehensive information to determine nursing diagnoses.
- Use nursing process to evaluate progress toward goals and apply interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
- Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Additional duties may be assigned as required.
- Care Planning – anticipates resource needs, sets priorities, schedules activities, meets deadlines, and organizes work within areas of responsibility.
- Nursing Patient Education – provides patient education in moderate difficulty practical applications.
- Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation – conducts primary care patient interviews and physical exams, gathers clinical data for referrals or treatments.
- Evidence‑Based Practice – searches for evidence to answer clinical questions; works under direction to accomplish assignments.
