Overnight Class A Diesel Mechanic

Performance Food Group is seeking an Overnight Class A Diesel Mechanic to keep our food service distribution fleet safe and road-ready. In this on-site shop role, you'll perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Class A tractors and trailers, including engines, brakes, electrical, and refrigeration units. You'll complete DOT-compliant inspections, document repair work, and partner with drivers and dispatch to reduce downtime.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Class A diesel tractors and trailers for PFG's overnight distribution fleet
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and DOT-compliant safety checks
• Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, braking, electrical, and refrigeration systems
• Use diagnostic software, hand tools, and shop equipment to complete repairs efficiently
• Document work orders, parts usage, and repairs in maintenance systems
• Collaborate with drivers and dispatch to prioritize down units and minimize downtime
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and shop cleanliness procedures
• Assist with emergency breakdowns and after-hours repair needs as required
