Key

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility) for middle grades 6-8
• Prior experience supporting students with significant needs or in a self-contained or Life Skills classroom is highly desirable
• Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead teacher in a Middle School Life Skills classroom, fostering independence and academic growth in grades 6-8
• Develop, write, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Implement instructional strategies and classroom management plans to ensure student engagement and success
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to provide a robust educational experience
