We’re looking for talented Engineering Technician to join our Marine Engineering Support Team in Ledyard, Connecticut or Chesapeake, Virginia.

Responsibilities
  • Develop procedures, build and deliver reports using Microsoft Office programs
  • Diagnose and resolve software configuration problems from remote locations
  • Respond to help calls
  • Proactively review status reports, troubleshoot and investigate technical issues
  • Engage with customers when identifying and troubleshooting
  • Support and assist with solutions and verification with the customer
  • File handling and data encryption
  • Development and maintenance of automation systems written in Power Shell and Batch
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
  • Working knowledge of computers/computer networks and Microsoft operating systems
  • Windows Operating Systems Certification – if not currently certified, working towards certification
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification – if not currently certified, working towards certification
  • Experience with Visio or similar process drawing creation software
  • Able to describe Batch files and the process when given a simple file for review
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong research, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent time-management skills with ability to accurately prioritize tasks, multitask, and move multiple projects forward
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
  • Capable of effectively communicating ideas verbally and through written media
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility for projects; self-motivated, self-starter
  • Willing to work off hours to support technicians in various time zones, as needed
