OverviewAt Lids Sports Group, we are seeking an energetic, customer‑focused Store Manager to lead our high‑traffic store. The role requires strong leadership, a passion for sports apparel, and the ability to deliver exceptional service while driving sales and managing all aspects of store operations.
Responsibilities People & Training Development- Develop and execute staff hiring, onboarding, and training plans to meet store needs.
- Maintain employee records, approve time‑off requests, and manage shift scheduling.
- Provide continuous coaching, recognition, and performance feedback to foster growth.
- Resolve employee concerns and partner with HR or other departments for escalations.
- Collaborate across store channels and districts for best practices and communication.
- Lead selling strategy to achieve sales KPIs and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Handle customer feedback and escalations, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Train team on membership programs and special in‑store offers.
- Direct staff to maintain a welcoming environment that values customers’ time.
- Manage compliance with scheduling, payroll, and company policies.
- Plan and maintain the store schedule based on staff qualifications and performance.
- Maintain operational continuity during disruptions and implement promotions.
- Ensure technology, facilities, and equipment remain in good working order.
- Handle cash management, inventory audits, and visual merchandising.
- Drive product strategy and oversee receiving, merchandising, and transactions.
- Organize backroom spaces for optimal efficiency.
- Enforce vendor rules on embroidery, pricing, and special releases.
- Execute markdowns, pricing updates, and inventory accuracy checks.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and window displays.
- Proven sales leadership with loss minimization.
- Strong supervisory, training, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules.
- Willingness to travel overnight for training or meetings.
