We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead (MRICS) to oversee the commercial delivery of major hospital and healthcare construction projects
. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to shape commercially robust outcomes on complex, high‑value developments that make a genuine social impact.

Working closely with clients, delivery teams, consultants, and supply chain partners, you will take full ownership of commercial strategy from project inception through to final account.

• Lead the commercial management of hospital construction projects from pre‑construction through delivery and handover
• Develop and implement commercial strategies
  , cost plans, and procurement approaches aligned with healthcare regulations and standards
• Provide expert advice on contract administration
  , risk management, and change control
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost reporting
• Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors
• Mentor and manage commercial teams, fostering best practice and professional development
• Build strong client relationships and support business development opportunities within the healthcare sector
• Ensure compliance with NHS frameworks, governance requirements, and relevant construction standards

• MRICS qualified (essential)
• Proven experience as a Commercial Lead, Commercial Manager, or Senior Quantity Surveyor within large‑scale construction
• Demonstrable experience delivering hospital or healthcare projects (acute, mental health, community, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
  , ideally within public‑sector environments
• Commercially astute with excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills
• Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
