We’re working with brilliant specialist schools supporting children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). You could be working in a warm, supportive team of people who truly care about helping children thrive. This is an ideal role for recent graduates from nursing and early years degrees with a particular leaning towards supporting individuals with disabilities.
The RoleYou will work closely with pupils who have a wide range of profound, complex needs, including physical disability, communication and interaction difficulties, sensory needs, behavioural and social difficulties. Personal care is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development
- Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil
- Contributing to an nurturing and structured learning environment
- Help in managing challenging behaviours positively and professionally
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide appropriate support
- Following each child’s individual EHCP
- Providing personal care when required
Experience in a school or nursing environment is desirable but not essential; what matters most for this role is a genuine passion for supporting children, particularly those with complex learning difficulties, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to a long-term placement.

- Other relevant fields
