Senior Lecturer Environmental Health

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Safety and Environmental Health Team within the School of Health at Leeds Beckett University. The team delivers a diverse portfolio of professionally accredited programmes, including our CIEH-accredited Degree Apprenticeship in Environmental Health, MSc Environmental Health provision, and a Practical Food Inspection Course. We also host the CIEH Practical Food Inspection Examination for both internal and external candidates.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) to join our academic team as a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Health. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of high-quality, practice-led teaching across our Environmental Health programmes, supporting students and apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and professional competencies required for contemporary practice.

We particularly welcome applications from practitioners with expertise in food safety, food standards and imported food controls. In addition to teaching and assessment responsibilities, the role will contribute to curriculum development, employer engagement, and the continued enhancement of our undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship provision, as well as supporting relevant activities within the wider School of Health and our international partnerships.
