Milk Education are working in partnership with welcoming and supportive primary schools in Leeds recruiting dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to support pupils on a 1:1 basis with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
These are rewarding opportunities for anyone with experience who is passionate about making a genuine difference in a child’s school experience and long-term development.
The Role:- Providing consistent 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Building a strong, positive and trusting relationship
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo
- Creating a safe, nurturing and structured environment
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or additional needs is essential
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to remain consistent and empathetic in challenging situations
- Background in education, youth work, support work, sports coaching or similar (desirable)
- Team Teach is desirable
