Graduate Internal Sales Engineer - Electronics (JO) Leeds, England
We seek a minimum HNC qualified Electronics, Control systems or Automation Engineer with ideally some relevant work placement experience to join a growing organisation in the Leeds area. A second language in particular German or French would also be of great interest.
You will initially work with existing clients maintaining relationships, processing, and managing customer orders and providing technical support. Your role as a Sales Engineer will be 80% office based in Leeds and will include:
- Liaising with existing customers on a day to day basis regarding orders, post sales enquiries & issues
- Providing comprehensive technical support by phone, email and face to face when necessary
- Building up and managing excellent customer relationships with distributors and end users
- Up selling and cross selling where possible
- Researching and cold calling new and potential customers
- Providing quotations, producing BOM’s and purchasing from existing suppliers
- Working with internal development teams and external manufacturers to ensure client specifications are met
You will be :
- A confident engineer with excellent communication skills happy to take on a sales role
- Hold a relevant Electronics, control systems or automation qualification minimum HNC
- Have excellent communication and persuasive skills
- Have confident administration and organisational skills
- Be a good problem solver
- Ideally have worked in a sales or customer support role
- Hold a full UK driving licence
We are particularly keen to hear from people with:
- A second language in particular German
- Experience in ATEX environments, beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of materials handling or special purpose machinery
- Experience with sensors and instrumentation
You will work with a friendly and well-established team for a long standing business with an excellent reputation and low staff turnover. They will provide one to one training both in the UK and US and the opportunity to travel in the UK, Europe and worldwide to visit customers and provide support where necessary.
