Patternmaker Apprentice 1st Shift
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Patternmaker Apprentice 1st Shift to join their team. As a Patternmaker Apprentice 1st Shift, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the pattern making and foundry operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:
Leeds, AL
Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Shift: First Shift - 4am-2:30pm
What's the Job?
- Participate in a comprehensive three-year apprenticeship program focused on pattern making and foundry tooling design and construction.
- Gain hands-on experience working with green sand-casting operations, shadowing experienced pattern makers.
- Learn programming, setup, and operation of CNC machining equipment.
- Engage in 3D scanning and printing activities to develop modern manufacturing skills.
- Complete in-house, online, and offsite training including community college courses to build foundational skills.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 80% score on skills assessment or equivalent certification.
- Machine Tool Technology Certificate or current enrollment in such a program is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or background in manual or CNC machining.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check as part of the onboarding process.
- Strong motivation to learn and develop new technical skills in a manufacturing environment.
