About the Crane Mechanic Role

C&B Piping, LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Crane Mechanic/Technician to join our maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, works independently, and prioritizes safety while keeping our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, inspect, and perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and other industrial equipment.
  • Maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, complete repairs, and document work in a timely manner.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment complies with company and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
  • Work independently and with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with installations, upgrades, modifications, and additional maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience as a crane technician, industrial mechanic, or similar role (highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting motors, controls, drives, and heavy machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and technical drawings and manuals.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certificates preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependable, and dedicated to quality work.
Physical and Work Environment
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and use equipment safely.
  • Perform bending, standing, kneeling, and other physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Work comfortably indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Work at varying heights and climb ladders safely.
