HGV Class 1 Driver; nights

We're hiring a HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our growing team. The role is a mixture of general haulage, delivering a variety of loads including palletised goods, ambient food products, timber and paper and trunking to overnight hubs with double deck trailers . Full training on specific load types can be provided where required.

Shift Pattern:
Monday-Friday // with a possibility of some Saturday/Sunday work dependant as an extra shift.

We offer competitive hourly rates with enhanced weekend pay (paid monthly)

• Monday-Friday: £17.00 per hour
• Saturday: £17.99 per hour
• Sunday: £19.79 per hour

Our drivers typically work around 12.50 hours per shift, which can add approximately:

• £42.50 per night
• £11,050.00 per year

• Safely operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle
• Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately
• Comply with EU/UK drivers’ hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff

• Full UK Driving Licence with C+E entitlement
• Digital tachograph card
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
• Flexibility to work Monday to Saturday
• No more than 6 penalty points (certain endorsements not accepted, e.g. DR)
