Job Summary The reproductive and childbirth Research Team is currently recruiting a Senior Research Nurse/Midwife to support the delivery and growth of our wide research portfolio.

full time (1.0 WTE), 18 Months, temporary contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in the coordination and delivery of clinical research, while also leading a dedicated team committed to excellence in care, safety, and patient experience. You will contribute to maintaining high standards in clinical care planning and delivery, ensuring full compliance with Trust policies, study protocols, and national research regulations.

The Reproductive and Childbirth Research Team is recognised for developing a diverse and high quality portfolio across subspecialties, and for selecting research studies that make a meaningful difference to the Leeds population.

• Delivery of complex clinical trials exploring new clinical pathways and treatments, including large recruiting trials (Starship, Generations, Babi Leeds) and intense commercial trials
• Ensure that clinical governance standards and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements are consistently upheld.
• Take responsibility for managing a team of registered and unregistered staff, providing leadership, support, and oversight.
• Be responsible of the finance and NIHR metrics of the portfolio

We are looking to recruit a proactive and self-motivated individual with a keen interest in research delivery. The successful candidate will bring proven leadership and people management experience, together with a strong understanding of research governance, clinical governance, and portfolio performance management. They will have experience in management and be able to use performance metrics to support the effective delivery of a busy and diverse research portfolio.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills will be essential, alongside a commitment to developing staff and delivering high-quality research. The post holder will be required to work alongside industry partners, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H) and colleagues in neighbouring establishments, attending regional and national meetings as required.
