Structured Cabling Data Engineer / Managed Services Engineer

Plymouth (On Site) – Permanent

NG Bailey IT Services is recruiting a Structured Cabling Data Engineer / Managed Services Engineer. The role requires the installation and fault finding of Structured and Voice Cabling systems, delivered within NG Bailey’s client Service Level Agreements (SLA). Experience with Structured and Voice Cabling installation, CNCI qualification, and service contract break‑fix requests is required. Preferably, candidates should also have experience as a service engineer for Electronic IP Security Systems and hold an appropriate Security Clearance.

• Maintain material control and stock records of deliveries and project stock
• Provide timely and accurate internal and customer project reporting (timesheets, mileage returns, daily reports, completion certificates)
• Ensure installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements
• Prepare red‑line drawings (desirable)
• Apply electrical knowledge (desirable)
• Participate in an on‑call rota
• Travel and work overseas as required
• Undergo mandatory Security Clearance

• Knowledge of MoD standards
• Experience working within ‘Live’ Customer sites
• Experience installing Structured and Voice Cabling systems
• Fully conversant with Fluke Analyser setup and operation
• Ability to locate and rectify faults on structured cabling systems
• Ability to work from construction drawings
• Professional and informative customer interface skills

• CSCS/ECS Card in appropriate trade
• Manual Handling, Working at Height, Working on Ladders/stepladders, IOSH Working Safely, PASMA/IPAF certification
• Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) accreditation
