Role Overview:
To ensure that the delivery of electrical aspects is effective, efficient, and professional, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. To ensure installations meet current regulations and to work effectively as part of a team.
What You'll Do:
- Demonstrate a proven track record with post-apprenticeship experience of project installation work.
- Install and modify electrical components and systems, including 1st fix containment, 2nd fix installations, power & lighting, and commissioning.
- Carry out testing and inspection to enable certification completion.
- Assist the Project Manager / Supervisor with estimates / quotations.
- Conform to safety rules and apply good engineering and safety practices.
- Install tray, ladder, conduits, etc., as per construction drawings.
- Undertake company standard internal training workshops and complete all mandatory training.
- Provide progress updates as per Project Programme and follow RAMS.
- Adhere to all current company procedures and Quality Management System.
- Keep administration teams updated on changes of order when collecting materials.
- Work as part of a team and develop relationships with customers and potential clients.
- Ensure continuous improvement and value for money.
- Work in secure and sensitive environments.
- If issued a van, keep it clean and store materials safely.
- Direct work colleagues where necessary to deliver work safely and on time.
- Follow specific SORs and drawings.
- Assist the PM / supervisor in overseeing Sub Contractors to ensure safe working practices.
Person Specification:
- Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G th Edition, minimum.
- C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing, and C&G 2391-20 Design & Verification preferred but not required.
- Experience in commercial electrical installations.
- Experience with LV distribution systems.
- Experience with DC / UPS systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
- Proven ability to work closely with customers and suppliers on complex issues.
- Preferably hold SMSTS, SSSTS, or IOSH certification.
- Effective communication skills and flexible work approach.
- First Aid, IPAF, and PASMA training will be provided if needed but are advantageous if already certified.
