Overview
Mobile HGV Service Technician
Location:
Leeds
Salary: £39,000-£42,000
-42.5 Hour Week
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 + Overtime
Benefits Package:
Van + Fuel card + Mobile Phone - Paid door to door
Profit share paid 6 monthly
Overtime paid at an enhanced rate
About your new companyMy client is a global fleet maintenance company who have been stablished for over 200 years. They are the leader in new innovative technologies and ensures their customers are put first. Due to their huge success and growth over many years they are actively seeking a skilled HGV Service Technician to join their team.
Responsibilities- Complete all types of service repairs in the most efficient manner without compromising quality, to the highest standards, including following diagnosis paths.
- Ensure that the customer is handled politely & professionally as appropriate
- Be prepared to work under your own supervision. Attention must be paid to safe working practices at all times.
- Work closely with the Service Manager and Controller's informing them of job status regularly
- Process all paperwork such as worksheets, weekly time sheets in a timely and legible manner
- Assist in the promotion of parts and service when appropriate.
- Assist in the control and reporting back of market intelligence. This includes highlighting any technical problems, so that the information is fed back to the Competence Centres as quickly as possible.
- Housekeeping of all elements, including workshop, people, and equipment is of the highest possible standard, to portray a professional image.
- Develop a 'can do' attitude within the organisation, with a culture of right first time and own problems. Be willing to work as a team player, and help maintain a good team working spirit.
- Willingly carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the company, which may mean the occasional on site attendance
- Ability to develop strong customer relations
- Previous mechanical experience and a strong technical understanding
- NVQ level 3 qualification or City & Guilds 3 inheavyvehicle service, maintenance and repair.
