Plasterer – Multi Trader

Up to £40,235.84 (depending on skills and experience)
Permanent, Full Time
Small Works Team – 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (including 1 hour lunch)
Role OverviewAs a Plasterer – Multi Trader, you will be responsible for the delivery and completion of repairs within our customers' homes and empty homes (voids). You will have a core trade in plastering, with the relevant training, experience, and trade skills to cover a wide range of plastering-related repairs and works. Ideally, you will also have skills in other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, tiling, decorating, bricklaying, groundworks, and fencing, enabling you to deliver a high standard of service and quality.
As a valued member of the bpha In House Maintenance Service Team, you will be provided with uniform, tools, a company van (for business use only), and a fuel card.
- Complete plastering and associated multi-trade repairs to a high standard
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring positive outcomes for residents
- Adhere to all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policies, procedures, and safe working practices
- Maintain van stock and order materials responsibly
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers
- Attend training, toolbox talks, and appraisals as required
- Ensure company property and equipment are well-maintained
- Maximise first-time fix rates and productivity
- Contribute to continuous improvement and team collaboration
- Compliance with SHEQ standards and training requirements
- High customer satisfaction scores and low complaint rates
- First-time fix rate and productivity metrics
- Quality of workmanship and post-inspection results
- Efficient use of materials and van stock
- Accurate and timely job reporting
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence
- Organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage time effectively
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and quality
- Basic IT literacy for using handheld devices and job systems
- Good general all‑round trade and construction knowledge & experience
- Good and relevant health and safety knowledge
- Experience working under time constraints
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in a Construction trade, or C&G 6219‑07:
Multi‑skills - Full clean driving licence
- Desire to learn new construction skills and develop within the role
- Good knowledge of NHF schedule of rates
- Experience working in occupied homes
- Experience and training on working with non‑licensed asbestos
- First Aid Training
- Ideally educated to GCSE or equivalent levels
