Mechanical Fitter

Smart Solutions are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our client's busy operations in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to work within a fast-paced industrial environment, ensuring plant and machinery operate safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

You will carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of fixed plant equipment, working closely with engineering and operations teams to maximise reliability and performance.

• . Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery and mechanical equipment.
• . Inspect, service and repair conveyors, shredders, balers and associated plant systems.
• . Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• . Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repairs.
• . Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• . Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• . Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams to improve plant performance.
• . Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and equipment reliability.
• . Complete maintenance activities safely and in accordance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
• . Maintain accurate maintenance records, including inspections, repairs and parts used.
• . Help maintain a clean, safe and compliant working environment.

• . Competitive salary of £42,180 - £53,820 per year.
