Our Property Maintenance Apprentice will be a vital member of the Property Team responsible for a wide range of maintenance works across  and Jet2holidays UK and Overseas estate. In this exciting position, as well as attending college one day a week to study for a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Property Maintenance, you’ll be trained fully in-house to provide efficient and effective support to the Property Team and colleagues across the business.

You’ll have responsibility for the basic day-to-day maintenance across our property portfolio.

The role is based at our Head Office in Leeds City Centre, with travel to other sites.

What you’ll learn:
  • Planned Preventive and Reactive Maintenance.
  • Painting and decorating.
  • PAT testing competency.
  • General maintenance of doors, windows and ironmongery.
  • Plumbing.
  • H&S Regulations, including checks of emergency lighting, water temperatures, fire alarms and fire doors.
  • Furniture movements and deliveries.
  • Storage/archiving administration – maximising space in available buildings.
  • Assisting contractors in carrying out generator testing when required.
  • Various ad hoc jobs as they arise.
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers as required to ensure work is completed satisfactorily and on time.
What you’ll have:

You’ll be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, happy to collaborate, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and flexible approach to your role. A keen attention to detail and ability to work to timescales is essential. Any previous experience in property-related aviation/leisure travel is preferable, but not essential. You’ll also:

  • Be flexible with working hours, overnight stays and travel.
  • Be capable of airport airside working.
  • Have a good level of physical fitness essential due to lifting, carrying and walking.
  • Have good computer skills.
  • Have a professional attitude and ability to meet deadlines.

Due to the travel requirements of the role, a full clean driving licence is required.
