Electrician​/Approved Electrician plus Solar PV Installer

Derek Mitchell Group Ltd is looking for an experienced Electrician/Approved Electrician plus Solar PV Installer to join our growing team.

Due to an increasing workload, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, professional and takes pride in delivering high-quality electrical work.

This is a varied role, working across a range of electrical projects as well as Solar PV installations, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and work on a variety of projects.

• As an Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and testing work
• Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems
• Carrying out electrical testing and inspection
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults
• Working from drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Working alongside other trades and project teams
• Liaising professionally with clients, suppliers and contractors
• Completing relevant job sheets, certificates and project documentation
• Supporting the wider electrical and engineering team as required

• Is a qualified and experienced Electrician or Approved Electrician
• Has experience installing Solar PV systems
• Has a good understanding of current electrical standards and regulations
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Takes pride in the quality of their work
• Has good communication skills
• Is reliable, professional and safety-conscious
• Holds a full UK driving licence
• Solar PV experience is an important part of this role. Additional renewable energy experience would also be advantageous.
