Family Time Worker

Belmont Recruitment is currently working in partnership with Staffordshire Council to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Family Time Worker. This is initially a 3 month temporary contract working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

• Supporting and supervising family time sessions between children and their birth families
• Helping children understand their birth identity in a safe, supportive way
• Building and maintaining professional relationships whilst managing complex family dynamics and behaviours
• Supporting children to and from school and family time visits where necessary
• Working flexibly to meet the needs of families, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and occasional weekends
• Keeping clear, accurate, and detailed session records in line with recording policies
• Working collaboratively with social workers, carers, schools, and partner agencies

• Experience of direct work with children, families, and carers in a statutory or voluntary setting
• Understanding of child development and the impact of stress and trauma
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
