About Koala Klubs
Koala Klubs delivers fun, safe, and engaging school holiday programmes for children aged 5‑12. Our camps provide a wide range of activities including sports, arts & crafts, games, team challenges, and enrichment experiences in a supportive environment where children can try new things and build confidence.
Role PurposeAs an Activity Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality holiday provision.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver a variety of fun, safe, and inclusive activities.
- Lead sports, games, creative sessions, and team challenges.
- Adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities.
- Encourage participation and positive behaviour.
- Supervise children at all times, maintaining ratios.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns immediately.
- Carry out headcounts and register checks.
- Ensure a safe environment indoors and outdoors.
- Administer first aid where required (if trained).
- Promote kindness, teamwork, and respect.
- Support children with additional needs where required.
- Manage behaviour calmly and positively.
- Help children build confidence and friendships.
- Assist with set‑up and pack‑down of equipment.
- Support meal and snack times (especially for HAF programmes).
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of activity areas.
- Work as part of a team under the direction of the Camp Manager.
- Provide friendly and professional interactions with parents/carers.
- Share relevant information with the Camp Manager.
- Represent Koala Klubs in a positive manner.
- Experience working with children (schools, clubs, coaching, childcare, etc.).
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lead groups confidently.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Relevant childcare or coaching qualification.
- Safeguarding training.
- Sports coaching or activity leadership experience.
- Experience working on holiday camps or HAF programmes.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Fun, positive, and approachable.
- Responsible and safety‑focused.
- Creative and proactive.
- Patient and supportive.
- Passionate about helping children have an amazing holiday experience.
