Overview
AL&S Accounting, a prominent and steadily growing firm, is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join our finance department. The position is onsite to foster collaboration with our teamwork‑driven staff.
Responsibilities- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash‑flow statements.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to consolidate accounts and ensure consistent financial reporting.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, monitoring timely payments and receivables.
- Execute detailed reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- Administer payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in pay distribution, tax with holdings, and report filings.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process to comply with internal and external regulations.
- Implement and comply with financial policies and regulations.
- Continuously manage and support budget and forecast activities.
- Ensure the company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements of financial and tax reporting.
- Provide insights and expectations to senior executives to aid in long‑term and short‑term decision making.
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or a similar role in financial bookkeeping.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.).
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting; comfortable working with numbers and paying attention to detail.
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant), preferred.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with accounting databases.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
- Aware of business trends and adept at decision‑making with numbers.
- Experience in performing financial audits and ensuring compliance with legal rules and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering long‑term relationships with internal and external teams and clients.
- Candidates with strong experience who are controlled agents may also be considered.
