Receptionist – Morning Shift (part-time)
- Be committed to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18; 1 Peter 2:2) by assembling together for instruction in God’s Word, and engaging in the personal study of God’s Word.
- Responsibly use the resources at your disposal to foster the mission and vision of Abundant Life (1 Peter 5:1-4).
- Participate in an Abundant Life group (Acts 2:41-42) as well as the discipleship ministry (Matthew 28:18-20).
- Live in a way that glorifies God and aligns with the staff core values (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).
- Be committed to giving to the needs of the saints (2 Corinthians 8:1-7 & 9:12).
- Become a member of Abundant Life Church.
- Answers central telephone system and directs calls accordingly.
- Greetings and assists guests in the AL administrative offices.
- Prepare outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mail/packages.
- Monitors and updates files in the church membership database as needed.
- Operates office machinery as required.
- Assist Pastors and deacons with hospital visitation schedules and communicate updates throughout the week.
- Maintains conference rooms daily for meetings, ensuring that they are stocked and hospitable.
- Maintains office supply inventory.
- Orders paper and toner for printers.
- Completes other duties as requested.
- Adds sermon notes to digital platform and prints handouts for campus.
- Assembles the birthday card list and mailing labels for congregation (500/month).
- Ensures that sympathy cards are sent to grieving church members.
- Assists the Executive Assistant with research projects.
- Reconciles credit card statements and prepares check requests.
- Assists with giving statement process.
- Assists with maintaining various business documents.
- Attend various staff meetings.
- Completes other duties as requested.
This position requires someone with excellent time-management skills and a high level of organizational detail that can thrive in a deadline-heavy work environment. To be successful, a knowledge of editing and grammar is required. A positive, outgoing, and friendly attitude is vital to the success of this position, as is the ability to be assertive and detail-oriented. Confidentiality and professionalism are of the highest importance to maintain the integrity of Abundant Life.

ExperienceA high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 or more years of experience in an administrative/receptionist role are recommended to perform the job duties of this position.
