Position Summary
The Regional General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations across multiple construction projects within an assigned region. This role ensures consistent execution of company standards related to safety, quality, scheduling, and productivity. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can mentor field teams, drive operational excellence, and collaborate closely with project management to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight to Superintendents and field teams across multiple job sites
- Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards
- Monitor project schedules and field productivity to ensure timely and cost-effective completion
- Collaborate with Project Managers to align field operations with budgets, timelines, and client expectations
- Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, quality, and adherence to plans and specifications
- Mentor, coach, and develop Superintendents and emerging field leaders
- Assist in workforce planning, staffing, and resource allocation across the region
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and construction best practices
- Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, schedule, and quality
- Support preconstruction efforts, including constructability reviews and logistics planning
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Minimum 10–15 years of construction experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior field leadership role
- Proven track record managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations (OSHA or equivalent)
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working across diverse project types (commercial, industrial, infrastructure, etc.)
- OSHA 30 certification or higher
- Frequent travel between job sites within the assigned region
- Combination of field and office work
- Exposure to active construction environments requiring PPE
