Qualifications and

Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, classroom aide, or in a similar educational support setting
• Understanding of classroom dynamics and child/adolescent development
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and special education staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and colleagues
• Adaptability to varying classrooms, grade levels, and student needs
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or relevant training are a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in classroom, small group, or individualized settings
• Assist teachers with instructional tasks, lesson materials, and classroom management
• Facilitate a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under teacher guidance
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the educational team
• Perform other tasks as assigned to create an effective learning atmosphere
