Per Diem Paraprofessional Opportunities - North Kansas City, MO

Seeking versatile paraprofessionals to provide support in special education classrooms across multiple elementary, middle, and high schools within a large district in North Kansas City, Missouri. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling, allowing candidates to work 1 to 5 days per week filling substitute paraprofessional and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) roles. Assignments address urgent coverage needs and may involve working 1:1 with students or supporting classroom aides.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with special needs, including those demonstrating behavioral challenges and requiring positive behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Assist with toileting and other personal care as needed
• Provide individualized attention in both classroom and 1:1 settings
• Respond to daily callouts through the designated app to select available shifts at various schools
• Adapt to varying school schedules:
  Elementary (8:30 AM-4:00 PM or 9:00 AM-4:30 PM), Middle (7:00 AM-2:30 PM), High (7:30 AM-3:00 PM)

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Active Substitute or Paraprofessional certification on DESE (or in process, must be active prior to start)
• Prior experience working in school settings supporting students with behavioral needs
• Ability to complete fingerprint background check specific to Missouri school districts
• Comfort working with diverse student populations and following established behavior plans

North Kansas City, Missouri - cover shifts across 33 schools, predominantly elementary
