Key Responsibilities- Deliver academic, behavioral, and social assistance to students in classroom settings
- Provide 1:1 or small-group support as directed by teachers and staff
- Help students with routines, transitions, and effective classroom participation
- Follow behavior support plans and implement IEPs when applicable
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as needed
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
- High school diploma or GED
- One of the following: active Para Pro certification, Substitute Teaching certification, or 36 college credits
- Minimum 18 years old
- TB test per school requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
- Current clearances (or willingness to obtain prior to starting)
- Previous experience in education, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings
- Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT (a plus, not required)
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative work style
