Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role is highly preferred
• Ability to build rapport with students and staff and follow directions from lead teachers
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills in adapting to various classroom situations
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional training or certifications are a plus)
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to execute daily lesson plans and support student learning activities
• Assist students individually or in small groups, providing academic and behavioral support as needed
• Help manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies to ensure a positive environment
• Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Prepare educational materials and help with classroom organization
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-classroom times
