MoDOT provides challenges in the areas of bridge, design, construction, materials, traffic, planning, maintenance, and research. Positions are available at the Jefferson City headquarters and in district offices across the state, including Hannibal, Jefferson City, Lee's Summit, Springfield, Sikeston, St. Joseph, and St. Louis.
Entry‑level engineering positions require a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited college or university. Advancement to management requires registration as a professional engineer.
Career PathEngineering openings are career‑ladder positions, allowing advancement based on work experience, skills, and education. As experience and skills grow, employees can be promoted to higher levels.
