Are you a hands‑on Mechanical Engineer who enjoys taking products from concept through production? We're seeking an experienced Mechanical R&D Engineer to join an innovative engineering team focused on designing and developing mechanical products for demanding industrial and automotive applications.

This is an opportunity to work on new product development, collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams, and see your ideas become reality.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and validate new mechanical products from concept through production.
  • Create innovative mechanical components and assemblies using sound engineering principles.
  • Perform design analysis, testing, and product validation to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Develop test fixtures and specialized equipment to evaluate product designs.
  • Design components including:
  • Sheet metal
  • Weldments
  • Machined components
  • Castings
  • Plastic parts
  • Mechanical assemblies
  • Sensor‑integrated components
  • Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods to optimize product performance and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other cross‑functional teams to successfully deliver projects.
  • Lead smaller engineering projects while supporting larger development initiatives.
  • Occasionally travel to manufacturing facilities and customer sites (less than 10%).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design or product development experience.
  • Strong experience designing mechanical components and assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (
    Creo preferred
    ).
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with several of the following:

  • Weldments
  • Machined components
  • Tooling and manufactured parts
  • Hydraulic systems
  • System integration
  • Structural analysis
  • Heat treatment processes
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Automotive systems or vehicle suspension knowledge
