Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Our client is a growing industrial technology manufacturer serving critical industrial and commercial environments. Backed by private investment and focused on operational improvement, the organization is continuing to strengthen its finance and accounting infrastructure to support long‑term growth and scalability.

The Controller will report directly to executive leadership and oversee the company’s day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for financial reporting, month‑end close, audit coordination, AP/AR, payroll, inventory accounting, and financial controls. The position will also partner closely with operational leaders to improve reporting visibility, process consistency, and overall financial performance.

This role operates within a manufacturing environment supporting industrial products and operationally driven business functions. The position is fully onsite and works closely with finance, operations, and executive leadership teams.

Success for the Controller includes:

• Accurate and timely financial reporting and month‑end close processes
• Strong oversight of AP, AR, payroll, cash forecasting, and financial controls
• Effective management of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis
• Improved visibility into operational and financial performance through reporting and dashboards
• Successful coordination of audits, compliance activities, and tax reporting
• Cross‑functional partnership with operational leaders and executive leadership
• Continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and reporting accuracy
• Maintaining a high level of accountability, organization, and financial discipline within the organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting or finance leadership experience
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Strong understanding of BOMs, COGS, inventory cycle counting, standard costing, and variance management
• Experience managing audits, financial reporting, payroll, AP/AR, and month‑end close
• ERP system experience required; manufacturing ERP experience preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting best practices
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to operate in a hands‑on environment while partnering effectively across departments
