A high-growth, mission-driven EdTech company is currently seeking a skilled Senior Accountant (Contract) to provide hands‑on support during a key leadership transition. In this role, you'll immediately step into a high‑trust environment where your expertise in core accounting operations will make an instant impact. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly respected, quality‑over‑price finance team on critical accounting functions. You’ll play a stabilizing role in the company’s short‑term continuity strategy while gaining exposure to fast‑close environments and executive‑level collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day Accounts Receivable (AR) and cash accounting functions.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support a three‑day month‑end close process with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure efficient financial reporting.
• Execute accounting operations using Net Suite ERP.
• Assist in light financial modeling and ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Provide consistency and continuity during a transitional leadership phase.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a publicly traded company.
• Expertise in AR, cash management, and general ledger processes.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑close environment.
• Comfortable operating independently with limited ramp‑up time.
• Availability to work within ET or CT time zones.

Preferred:

• Background in interim, contract‑based, or turnaround accounting roles.
• Experience with financial modeling or ad hoc financial analysis.
• Ability to remain composed and solution‑focused during periods of organizational change.
