PositionSummary/Objective
The Bank of Orrick is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Universal Banker! The Universal Banker or jack of all trades plays a crucial role in providing banking products and services to our local and national customers. Our UBs perform a variety of tasks associated with processing customer transactions, phone calls and requests.
If you are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, detail-oriented, possess good computer skills, this is the job for you. An ideal candidate will have banking experience and is interested in learning additional roles and responsibilities.
- Provide outstanding customer service, greet each customer as they enter the bank, answer the phone promptly, and take ownership of each interaction
- Process both simple and complex teller transactions
- Open depository accounts for customers upon request (online and in person)
- Assist customers with troubleshooting online account and debit card issues
- Willing to work Saturday shifts (rotating)
- Back up on operational tasks
- Identify needs of prospective and existing customers, propose solutions to help meet those needs, and identify additional opportunities that may help their financial goals
- Perform operational tasks and assignments
- Assist with wires and ACH processing
- Refine processes and procedures for branch operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 1 to 2 years of banking experience
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
- You must be able to use a computer and other office equipment (e.g., phone, printer).
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through written correspondence.
- Ability to concentrate and focus on tasks for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
