Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a 240-bed community hospital, requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and both Missouri and Kansas RN licenses in hand.

Job Details

• Work setting is a 240-bed community hospital with a 16-bed ICU,

• MS/Tele unit caring for a general medical-surgical and telemetry patient population, including post-cath patients,

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5,

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45-07:15,

• 13-week contract,

• 8 weekend shifts required per Saint Luke's 6-week schedule period, in any combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,

• On-call is not required,

• Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required on a regular basis,

• Charting via Epic,

• Free parking on-site,

• Unit monitoring telemetry performed on the unit,

• No block schedule accommodations available,

Job Requirements

• Active Missouri (or compact) RN license and Kansas RN license - both must be in hand at time of consideration,

• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required,

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry specialty experience required,

• Must have at least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year,

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring required,

• Experience with post-cath patient care required,

• Epic EMR experience preferred,

• 2 professional references required: at least one must be supervisor-level or above, the second may be a charge RN; all references must be from someone who has worked with the candidate within the past year,

• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care including unit-based telemetry monitoring and post-cath patient management,

• Holiday shift coverage and Charge RN assignments may be required as needed,

• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract,

• Navy scrubs required,

• Travel partners are not accepted for this position,
