Position Summary:
The Field Medical Director (FMD) – Midwest will report to the Vice President, Field Medical Team Leader. We seek an experienced, science-focused, FMD to join our rapidly growing medical affairs team with the primary mission of increasing awareness with regards to the unmet need and pathogenesis of IgAN, and the role of targeting BAFF and APRIL as a potentially transformative, disease-modifying therapy.
Additionally, Vera will be increasing medical affairs activities related to membranous nephropathy and lupus nephritis, two potential future indications for atacicept. With active partnership with the entire medical affairs team, the FMD will focus on developing relationships with the external scientific and medical community. This role will also work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in clinical development, commercial, market access and other key functional areas.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with Key External Experts through meetings (both face-to-face and virtual) as well as at congresses and advisory boards.
- Expected to deliver proactive disease state education, and reactive discussions regarding product and clinical trial data.
- Provide appropriate scientific, clinical, and educational support to internal and external customers.
- Build a territory plan and establish key relationships with external communities, including professional societies.
