The Division of Legal Services (DLS) is looking for a Senior Non-Commissioned Investigator to join our team in the Special Assignment Unit

Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is $2,369.70. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
Annual Salary: $56,872.80

Why You'll Love This PositionThis is a seasoned, non-commissioned investigator position responsible for conducting contract fraud, personnel, and welfare fraud investigations. If you have strong critical thinking, research and communication skills this job may be for you. You'll get to be on the side of good stopping fraudulent activities that harm individuals and the Department. The nature of fraud and employee misconduct is always changing.
This means the job will never become stagnant and you will continually develop new skills.
- Diverse investigations :
You will handle a mix of complex contract, personnel and welfare fraud cases, by gathering information, examining records, conducting interviews and completing comprehensive reports. - Independent work:
You will often work independently or lead investigations with minimal supervision. - Ensuring accountability :
By investigating personnel matters, you will help ensure a fair and ethical workplace, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
Bachelor's degree, 2 or more years of relevant experience, and relevant certification/licensure. Knowledge of sources of information to be utilized in obtaining evidence and documentation, and the principles of identification, preservation, and presentation of evidence. Knowledge of criminal activity and administrative/regulatory violations.
Preferred QualificationsIn addition to those identified in the previous level:
