Entry Warehouse Team Member – Winland Foods, Lee’s Summit, MO (Full‑time).
Hours:
Monday‑Friday 3:30PM – 12:00AM. Salary: $22.50 per hour, plus $1.50 shift differential. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, STD/LTD/AD&D/Life, HSA, FSA, EAP, Hospital indemnity, Accident Insurance, Identity & Fraud Protection, Legal, and Critical Illness coverage.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, wrapping machines and other material‑handling equipment; perform inspections and maintain accurate equipment documentation per DOT and safety regulations.
- Move materials and ensure FIFO/FEFO rotation; stage materials precisely to prevent production downtime.
- Return materials to appropriate locations, handle recyclable materials, and deliver daily parcel shipments.
- Participate in inventory counts and use computer systems (e.g., SAP) for inventory transfers, reporting and material handling records.
- Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, and company food safety policies; maintain cleanliness and audit‑ready work environment; report safety or quality concerns promptly.
- Assist team members, adapt to operational changes, contribute to productivity, safety, and quality goals; participate in 5S efforts and improvement projects.
- Attend required training and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead or train team members when opportunities arise, building collaboration and sharing knowledge.
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications (Forklift, Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement) a plus.
- Experience operating equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and box trucks; familiarity with SAP inventory management systems.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., forklift, SAP, Trainer) as needed.
- Age 18 or older, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push heavy loads, stand and walk up to 90% of shift, climb as needed; normal hearing and vision (with correction if needed).
- Mechanical aptitude; ability to troubleshoot and advise on minor adjustments to formulas or processes.
- Proficiency with SAP, hand scanners, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of GMPs, SQF, HACCP, FSMA, and other food safety regulations; commitment to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude, dependable, self‑motivated, and willing to work overtime or weekends as needed; strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Employee must stand and walk for extended periods, climb, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach, twist, and turn; lift up to 50 lbs frequently; maintain good hand‑eye coordination, motor skills, and 20/20 corrected vision; wear all required PPE; handle exposure to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high areas, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical risks, and vibrations depending on the area assigned.
